By the decision of the Higher Education Council the University is only eligible to finalize registration by original documents.
You may have applied with copies therefore please do not forget to bring all your original documents for all legal procedures as well as
registration on campus.
Applicants who have applied for Equivalency document may present copies with the equivalency application receipt.
The High-School Diploma Equivalency / Letter of Equivalency:
Making a colored copy of your documents is important at this stage. If you do not have the Letter of Equivalency in hand already you will be
required to complete your application in Istanbul with original documents.
Since the evaluation of your application for equivalency takes time, please do not loose the “receipt” given to you by the Directorate since we
will be helping you register with the “receipt” and “colored copies” of your documents.
You will be required to bring the University original letter as soon as it is published.
This is an easy procedure where the Provincial Department of Education in Istanbul (and in some cases a Turkish Embassy/Consulate) will
provide the ‘Equivalency Letter’ (in Turkish ‘Denklik Belgesi’) certifying that the foreign High-School diploma is equivalent to its counterpart,
the Turkish high school diploma. This document is delivered by applying in person and providing the original foreign high school -diploma, its
official Turkish translation and the student’s passport and acceptance letter/visa.
*According to the decision of the Turkish Council of Higher Education dated 16/11/2015, Turkish Universities can only admit international
students once a year. Therefore, there is only one intake which is Fall of each academic year. Change of department or re-entry applications
can only be accepted for the next Fall term.
